Conditions – Ceramic Practice
Practice packs are valid for 4 months, allowing enough time to develop continuity and integration in your practice.
Booking & cancellations
Sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance.
Late cancellations cannot be refunded.
Practice & access
Use of the wheel is reserved for participants who have completed an introduction session or already have basic experience.
Practice time includes preparation and cleaning of your workspace.
Clay & materials
A small amount of clay is included during your first session.
For ongoing practice, clay is charged based on usage:
CHF 10 / kg for raw clay
CHF 30 / kg for finished pieces when finishing is handled by the studio (trimming, glazing and firing)
Most people typically spend around CHF 5–15 per session on clay.
This allows flexibility depending on what you choose to make, while keeping the system fair for everyone.
Studio guidelines
All materials are provided by the studio. External materials are not permitted.
Courses are held in English, German, Italian or French depending on participants.
We kindly ask that pieces are completed and collected within 3 months.
Glazing & safety
For safety reasons, the following are required during glazing:
black nitrile gloves
FFP2or FFP3 mask (not provided by the studio)
Eating and drinking are not permitted during glazing.
Process & timing
Clay requires time and care. Drying, firing and cooling are essential steps.
Firing is done in small batches once the kiln is full, in order to reduce energy consumption.
This may involve some waiting time.
We do our best to process all pieces as efficiently as possible.
Material awareness
Clay is a natural and limited resource.
We encourage a mindful approach to what you choose to keep and fire.
