Fast-Track Learning: 3-Hour Ceramics Session

Discover the art of ceramics in our Fast-Track Learning 3-Hour Session! Perfect for beginners, this hands-on experience introduces you to the fundamentals of working with clay.

You’ll learn the basics of hand modeling, a traditional technique for shaping clay by hand. Over the course of three hours, you’ll have time to shape a small object—such as a cup, bowl, or platerefine the form, and add a personal touch with engobe decoration (including techniques like sgraffito, drawing, or paper cutting) and/or textured details.

Under expert guidance, you’ll explore shaping, molding, and understanding textures and forms. Whether you're looking to spark a new hobby or simply enjoy a creative break, this session offers a fun and immersive introduction to the world of ceramics.

No prior experience needed – just bring your curiosity and creativity!

What Happens After Your Session?

After your session, your piece will be left to dry and then bisque fired at 980°C.

Once it's fired, you have two options:

  • Come back for a glazing or painting session (additional course required)

  • Or, if you prefer, I can glaze it for you (additional fee applies)

After glazing, your piece will be fired a second time at around 1220°C. Once cooled, it will be ready for pickup—a fully finished, functional ceramic creation!

All pricing details are outlined in our terms and conditions.

Tea, coffee, and syrup are available for you to enjoy. Alcohol is offered on a pay-what-you-wish basis.

Once you've made your purchase, you can easily book your first session here. Have questions? We're happy to help athoi@clayandtao.com.
