SAFETY AND MATERIALS

Glazes you can
actually trust.

Many commercially produced glazes contain metals such as lead, cadmium, arsenic, aluminium, manganese or copper that can leach into food and drinks over time. Most studios use them without testing or disclosure.

At Clay & Tao, every glaze is handcrafted in the studio and independently verified by a laboratory. Every piece you make here is genuinely safe to eat and drink from.

The studio is fully ventilated, protective equipment is provided for all glazing sessions, and every material decision is made with your health — and your family's — in mind.

Handcrafted glazes

Made in the studio — no industrial shortcuts, no unknown ingredients.

Laboratory tested

Independent lab verification — not just a claim. Zero heavy metals detected.

Safe working environment

Full ventilation system, protective equipment during glazing, and deep knowledge of every material used.
